MASS AWIS is offering an opportunity to make professional connections across a variety of career paths. ‘Join Me for Coffee’ gives a chance to meet with a STEM professional for 1 hour online. Participants will not only learn about that person’s career but also establish a new professional connection. These events are a great opportunity for participants to practice networking in an intimate setting, a skill that helps open doors to meaningful careers in STEM.

The upcoming ‘Join Me for Coffee’ event series will feature Dr. Saileta Prabhu. If you would like to participate in this ‘Join Me for Coffee’ event, first complete the event application form. A committee will then review all applications and select 4-6 participants for each event. Selected applicants will be notified by email at least one week prior to the event. Upon selection notification, you will be required to formally register for the event and pay the registration fee via our secure website. Selected applicants who fail to complete registration on time forfeit the opportunity to participate.

Dr. Saileta Prabhu

Saileta Prabhu is Vice President and Global Head of Clinical Biomarker Innovation & Development (CBID) department at Takeda. Saileta received her Ph.D. from a joint program in Pharmaceutical Sciences & Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Bombay, India. Following her post-doc at Rutgers University, she worked at In Vitro Technologies and Sunesis before joining Genentech in 2004. Her department at Genentech was accountable for providing translational and investigative PKPD guidance for Genentech’s protein therapeutics in several therapeutic areas such as oncology/cancer immunotherapy, infectious diseases, neurology, and immunology. At Takeda, her group focuses on the biomarker and bioanalytical plans for clinical programs spanning different modalities and therapeutic areas. Over the past decade, Saileta has worked extensively in the area of antibody-drug conjugates, bispecific antibodies, and drug delivery, and supported the approval of several biologics. Saileta was awarded the 2019 Rising Star award by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association for her strong leadership.
