Coffee with a Professional: Elif M Sikoglu

To be eligible for these events, you must be a MASS AWIS student chapter member or a MASS AWIS member
registered with National AWIS with paid Massachusetts chapter dues.
(Membership status will be checked after registration.)
MASS AWIS wants to offer its members the opportunity to make professional connections in their career path of interest. 3 MASS AWIS members will get the opportunity to meet with a STEM professional for 45 min at a coffee shop. The meeting will be a chance to learn more about the professional’s career and make a new connection. “Coffee With a Professional” is a FREE opportunity for MASS AWIS members. MASS AWIS will provide the professional with a gift card to cover the cost of a drink for all meeting participants.
10 members are allowed to register for each “coffee” session. After registration, they will get an email asking for their resume and a short paragraph explaining why they want to meet with the professional and how the meeting would impact their career (500 characters (not including spaces) max). Their resume and personal statement will be sent to the professional that will select the 3 members he or she wants to meet with. Members will get notified by email if they have been selected or not at least a week before the time of the meeting.
Contract Research Organization/Imaging Professional:
Elif M Sikoglu
Elif is currently a Principal Scientist at PAREXEL. She provides scientific and medical leadership for clinical trial contract research organizations where imaging data is utilized. She is involved in trials utilizing various imaging modalities (e.g. MRI, CT, ultrasound etc.) across a number of therapeutic areas including oncology, neurology, liver disorders, and women’s health. Prior to her current role, Elif was Post-doctoral Associate at Center for Comparative NeuroImaging, Massachusetts Medical School Psychiatry Department. She investigated various neuropsychiatric disorders using multi-modal neuroimaging techniques in clinical and pre-clinical settings. Elif received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Isik University, Istanbul, Turkey and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University. Elif enjoys cooking, hiking and traveling.
