Elizabeth Heilig, mentee

“Personally the best thing I got out of this circle was the support and encouragement from everyone.  It felt really good to set some concrete goals for personal/career development, and even better to be able to check them off when completed!”

Lynnelle Pittet, mentor

“As a mentor, I enjoyed seeing how our mentoring circle recognized, set, and achieved goals throughout the year.  Even though I was a mentor, my mentees taught me a lot about myself and helped me figure out how to balance my hectic schedule.” -

About The MASS-AWIS Mentoring Program

Established in 2007, the mentoring program has seen significant growth, expanding from 3 circles to about 20 circles, each consisting of ~5 members. These mentoring circles provide a nurturing environment for mentors and mentees to explore career development strategies, share experiences, and address the unique challenges faced by women in the workplace. About 20% of mentees return yearly, and creating a ripple effect when they become mentors.
